Instructions for "permanent" data recording with TTS DataMaster : 1. Get the TTS DataMaster install and Inctrl3 software. 2. Install TTS Datamaster. 3. Run Datamaster (don't do anything with it though). 4. Run Inctrl3 a. Press "next" without editting anything except the report file name. b. Press "finish" and let it do it's thing. c. Press "close" when a window pops up. 5. Now do a "run" with Datamaster by going to File -> Record ALDL data. Press OK, then close the Acquuistion window down by pressing the "x" button. 6. Run Inctrl3, click "Install Done: Report", let it to it's thing, and press close. 7. Look in the file it created (it will have a .rpt" ending) with notepad. 8. Look for a line *similar* to this (all machines are different): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\CLASSES\CLSID\{1FA1CCA5-383F-28C1-1E1}\ImplementedCategories\{75EC-90E3-86DF-A46D-891D} Value "@": from "{16AE-82A0}" to "{16AF-82A0}" If you see more than one, look at this section of it to be sure what you are trying to match the number of characters/digits as this : "{16AE-82A0}" or "{16AF-82A0}" Here is an example : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\CLASSES\CLSID\{D352418B-F50B-7A9B-EC2}\ImplementedCategories\{B817-1BCF-DA03-EA3F-D222} Value "@": from "{DB5A-098C}" to {DB55-098C}" HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\CLASSES\CLSID\{D352418B-F50B-7A9B-EC2}\ImplementedCategories\{B817-1BE8-FF0B-E937-9E} Value "@": from "{DA1E-45}" to "{D951-40C0-A6}" It should be obvious that the first registry entry is the right one. 9. Run regedit and look for this registry key using the "find" function. I use the characters/digits right after "Categories" (example above - "{B817-1BCF-DA03-EA3F-D222}" 10. If it found the right one, you will see the proper registry key highlighted on the left. Run "Export Registry File". Select a filename and put it on your desktop. Notice it will only export the key you selected. If you want, you can change the registry edit back to what it was originally (ex, change "{16AF-82A0}" back to "{16AE-82A0}"). 11. Now, whenever you are almost out of runs, double click on the file on your desktop, press yes and then OK, and you now have 20 or 19 runs left!
